Presentations by local officials, Veterans groups, music by the Boca Raton High School Band, the Coastmen Chorus, the New Young Patriots, color guard and drills by the Boca Raton Community High School/Navy JROTC Cadets (placed #1 in FL 2010) 

May 31 - Tribute to our Fallen & Wounded Troops
7pm - Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real (on Federal, south of Glades Rd)
Program Highlights:  Featuring the New Gardens Band & Robert Sharon Chorale with patriotic music as a Tribute to our Fallen & Wounded Troops

January 5, 9am: Click here for pictures of the Deployment Ceremony for Company Alpha, Bravo,Charlie, & Delta,1st Battalion,124th Infantry Regiment of the Florida National Guard. These men & women will be at Ft. Hood Texas for more intense preparation for their departure to Kuwait & Iraq

January 16, Marlee's Bat-Mitzvah, B'nai Torah Congregation, Boca Raton: Guests will have the opportunity to write cards to soldiers overseas.  After the big day, Marlee & her family will make "sweet treat" packages to accompany the cards for deployed soldiers.

March 14, "Answer the Call to Serve" @ Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County's Super Sunday Phone-A-Thon: Attendees will decorate & write cards; make "Sweet Treat," "Personal Care items" & "Entertainment" Care Packages; donate used/non-working Cell Phones  Click here for full event flyer

Raising Citizens: Memorial Day

Monday, May 31
Program in collaboration with the Major Stuart Adam Wolfer Institute
and Freedoms Feast. Pick up your Autograph Book at the Admissions Desk and join in a fun “Meet and Greet” Game with visiting military. Please Bring old cell phones to CMOM to donate to Cell Phones for Soldiers.

Award of Thanks Collage
10 – 11:15am | 4 & younger
Make a gratitude collage of ribbons, stars and stripes.

Special Circle Time
11:30am & 4pm | all ages
Listen to Nubs: the True Story of a Mutt, a Marine and a Miracle. Sing songs and meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard.


Send a Card

10am – 4pm | all ages
Write a note, poem, or decorate a card to thank military personnel for their service.

Support our Troops

1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm | 5 & older
Learn about the significance of Memorial Day! Meet people serving in the military who will share their stories and lead a mini “boot camp” where you will learn some basic physical training skills and how to march. Be sure to sign the Thank You Banner.

RECENT PROGRAMS

Connor Mecham receives his Eagle Scout Award by participating with MSAWI-- Dandelion Project/Cell Phones For Soldiers. Connor collected 166 cellular phones, calling cards & donations.

Lauren begins her Tikkun Olam project for her Bat-Mitzvah at Gesher L'Torah, Alpharetta, GA:  Lauren's goal is to raise enough funds to send 18 Chanuah packages to soldiers in December, 2010; After her synagogue's Chanukah Bazaar she is almost half way there!

Bar-Mitzvah Tzedakah Project
Joseph M. partnered with MSAWI for his bar-mitzvah tzedakah project.  At Sefi's reception guests had the opportunity to write cards to soldiers which were packed by Sefi and his friends at Kinneret Day School with oodles of goodies, current magazines & special military issued socks for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Rosh Hashanah Mailing to Overseas & Stateside Soldiers
MSAWI sent "dried" apple chips & personalized honey jars to our Jewish soldiers serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea & Stateside to offer them our best wishes for a healthy, happy, sweet & most of all SAFE New Year!
